Senior Alert Programme - Installation of a monitored personal alarm and pendant to be worn by the applicant (over 65 yrs only). If you have a landline, the first year of monitoring is free. If you have a mobile, the first year is €60.
Photocopying & I.T. Support - We provide administration support in our I.T. Hub in the Courtyard Shopping Centre, i.e. Photocopying, Printing, Laminating, Emails, Desktop Publishing, etc.
Care & Repair Programme (FREE) - This program is for older people, people with disability or those on low income etc (in the Letterkenny area only). Minor repairs in people’s homes, outdoor work e.g. minor maintenance.
Letterkenny Men’s Shed - Join this group of men who meet in the Men’s Shed premises in the Old Laundry St. Conal’s on Mon & Tue 9am to 5pm and Wed 9am to 12.30pm for tea and woodworking.
Community Response to Drug/Alcohol Misuse - We employ 2 Outreach Workers to support people who have a problem with addiction and/or their families/carers; to help them to reduce the harm caused by addiction. This is a confidential service, contact Mary 086 775 2142 (Letterkenny and environs) or Karen 087 388 5080 (Finn Valley Area).
Community Employment - Letterkenny C.D.P. sponsor a Community Employment Scheme funded by the Dept. of Social Protection. This scheme takes the form of two separate Scheme running parallel to each other and working together on many of our programmes. One Scheme is our Mainstream Community Employment Scheme and the other is a Rehabilitation Scheme for people in recovery from addiction. We have a total of 48 participants and 3 supervisors to facilitate this work.

Charity Shop (The Courtyard Shopping Centre) - If you are having a clear out, feel free to send your items to us. We can also collect your donations in the Letterkenny area. We accept all kinds of donations e.g. Bric A Brac, Clothes, Shoes, Toys, Books, Furniture, Electrics.
Learn ‘n’ Play Pre-school - We have an excellent pre-school facility in the Glendale Area of Letterkenny which caters for 56 children age 3-5yrs.
Adult Education - We organise adult education classes in a variety of subjects e.g. Stress Management, Arts & Crafts, Mosaic and Ukulele.
Information Desk - We provide information and assistance on a confidential basis on your Social Welfare rights, queries and entitlements. We also provide job seeking support that includes education and training services in up-skilling and re-skilling, along with a support and referrals service.
Peace Impact Project - To build sustainable peace and prosperity in areas suffering from high levels of economic and social deprivation.
